Dr Thomas Drake-Brockman

Thomas (they/them) is an ACRRM GP Registrar, based in the Great Southern since 2021. They are currently working in primary care part-time, and also work at Perth Children’s Hospital as a Research Registrar while completing a PhD at UWA. Thomas is a strong advocate for Doctors in Training as well as the LGBTIQA+ community and holds positions on the AMA (WA) Rural Doctors group and AMA (Federal) Public Health Committee. They have a keen interest in organisational governance and in ensuring member value in membership organisations. Thomas is an avid bushwalker, ambulance volunteer, and tall ship sailor.

Dr Clark Wasiun

Dr. Wasiun is a dedicated RDAWA member who works in Albany as a GP Anaesthetist.  Born in Kalgoorlie, Dr Wasiun graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2000 and subsequently gained a broad range of experience in hospitals throughout Western Australia.

He spent a significant amount of time as a junior medical practitioner throughout rural Western Australia including working in remote areas before completing his specialty training in General Practice Anaesthetics. In 2006 he moved to Albany and completed his General Practice training. Clark enjoys all aspects of general practice and his special interests include chronic disease medicine, men’s health, preventative medicine, anaesthetics, cardiac medicine, cancer care and geriatric medicine.

Outside of medicine he spends most of his free time with his 3 beautiful children and enjoys reading, gardening and following the footy and cricket. He plays indoor cricket and squash. Clark also likes to go fishing (when he can and rely on his mates to help with his poor fishing skills).

Dr James Dunn

James graduated from The University of Notre Dame where he was President of Spinrphex Rural Health Club. Heis passionate about the unique learning environment and diverse opportunities offered by a rural career. He has a background working with underprivileged groups in the drug and alcohol, and domestic violence sectors in the Kimberley region, gaining clinical exposure in South West WA and the Pilbara under the Rural Clinical School of WA. James is currently a resident medical officer in Perth, but he hopes to continue contributing to rural and remote WA communities as a Rural Generalist with an interest in paediatrics and obstetrics. Outside of medicine, James enjoys playing accordion, scuba diving, and attempting to speak spanish.

Dr Jarrad Lenegan

 Jarrad completed his training in ACRRM and RACGP via the Remote Vocational Training Scheme (RVTS). He works in the Kimberley, split 50:50 between Broome and Fitzroy Crossing Hospitals. He enjoys a variety of clinical work in the ward, emergency and general practice. Jarrad is passionate about developing opportunities for rural generalist and GP-fellowship training throughout remote WA. When off from work, Jarrad enjoys exploring the North West, rooftop tenting and campfire cooking.

Dr Alice Callaghan

Alice grew up in the Perth Hills and attended medical school at UWA. Her rural medicine journey began with a rural clinical school year in Esperance in 2018. Following graduation she spent two years in Albany as a junior doctor and hasn’t looked back since! She became part of the RDAWA committee in 2022 during a year in Perth, hoping to continue her involvement in the rural medicine community while gaining some tertiary hospital experience. She has now returned to Albany, currently working as a palliative care registrar and is currently completing her GP training.
